Founder

I'm Anne, a software developer by day, but when the evening rolls around, this is where I get to let my creative side run wild. You'll find me brainstorming new designs, jotting down stories for children's books, or designing those must-have items that add a splash of personality to everyday life.

Ethos behind the name

At Modern Kastle, our name is a reflection of our design philosophy. 

We believe that every home should be a castle - a personal sanctuary that exudes comfort, elegance, and individuality. Yet, we also understand that the castles of today are not those of the past. They are modern, contemporary spaces that blend the old and the new in a harmonious fusion. Our aesthetic is deeply rooted in this concept.

We have a profound respect for traditional designs, seeing them as timeless foundations upon which we can build. However, we also have a passion for the modern, the innovative, and the unique. By adding a modern twist to classic designs, we create pieces that are both trendy and timeless, embodying the essence of a 'Modern Kastle'.

We're a small business with a big heart, led by a mom entrepreneur (borne out of a layoff situation). We're dedicated to providing quality products and exceptional customer service. In our commitment to sustainability, each item is crafted specifically for you upon order and dispatched directly from our print partner. This made-to-order process helps reduce waste and ensures you're receiving a freshly produced item.
